INGREDIENTS

4 slices whole wheat bread, crumbled
1 medium sized onion
2 medium tomatoes
2 tsp urad daal
½ tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp grated ginger
1 green chili chopped
chopped fresh coriander for garnish
1 tsp lime juice
asafoetida
salt to taste
Use slightly stale bread — it absorbs masala without turning soggy

Instructions

Temper the urad daal, mustard seeds and asafoetida in a pan.
Add green chilies, onions and fry.
When they begin to brown, add tomatoes and ginger and cook a little. Stir in the bread.
Add salt to taste. Turn off the flame and add lime juice, coriander and serve.
