Preheat oven to 375 F. Line tray with parchment paper
In a mixing bowl, mash the beans with a fork until there are no whole beans but do not puree
Add the spices, ketchup, oats, and stir thoroughly to combine
Taste and adjust for flavour
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and roll them into balls. Flatten them with your palms and place on baking sheet, shaped into a patty.
Bake for 10 minutes. Then, flip them over gently and bake for another 8 minutes. (You may coat them with coconut milk, if required, to prevent them from drying)
Flip again if required and bake for another 5 minutes to get a firm and evenly cooked patty
Serve with green coriander/mint chutney
