Okja is a genre-blending film directed by Bong Joon-ho that tells the story of a young girl, Mija, and her genetically engineered “super-pig” companion Okja, who have lived together in the mountains of Korea. When a multinational corporation takes Okja away to exploit her as meat, Mija journeys across continents to rescue her friend.
