Mix all the ingredients except the bread in a blender until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a shallow dish; dip the bread, and cook on a hot pan or in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 5 minutes, turning once when the edges begin to brown.
Serve with fresh berries or date syrup.
Date Paste: Soak 1 cup pitted dates in 1 warm cup water overnight or for several hours – until they plump and absorbed some of the liquid. Drain the water and process the dates in a food processor until smooth. Store in a refrigerator
