Soak chana dal in water for 4–5 hours, then drain.
In a pressure cooker, cook the soaked chana dal with enough water until soft.
Drain excess water and mash the dal well.
In a mixing bowl, combine mashed chana dal, mashed potatoes, flaxseed meal, chopped onion, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt.
Mix well to form a dough-like consistency.
Shape the mixture into flat patties.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
